Economic Impact: The Role of the Arts and Culture Sector in Georgetown, Texas

In 2017 the City of Georgetown contracted with TXP, Inc., an Austin economic analysis and public policy consulting firm, to conduct an economic impact study over the role of the arts in Georgetown’s economy.

That study was completed and presented to the Georgetown City Council in April 2017. Travis James, Vice President for TXP, authored the study. Travis, who leads TXP’s efforts in economic impact studies, statistical analysis, and strategic planning, worked closely with Georgetown arts & culture leaders and spoke to the public about the study at a February 11 Creative Georgetown event.
