The Georgetown Public Library hosts “Live Music at the Library” at 2 pm the third Sunday of most months of the year; the concerts are free and open to the public, but registration is required as seating is limited to 120 attendees. Registration will go live the second Sunday of the month. Ticket holders must check in at least ten minutes before the start of the event or their tickets will be released.

Austin Dance India presents Tales of Love and Devotion

Don’t miss the rare opportunity to experience Sundadam Music Group, an international touring ensemble from India accompanying the dance of Austin Arts Hall of Famer, Anuradha Naimpally, and her daughter, Purna Bajekal. This solo and duet performance of Bharata Natyam classical dance of India will include an engaging demonstration, storytelling from mythology, traditional dances, exciting rhythms, unique musical instruments, and much more. Bharata Natyam is an ancient form of classical dance that reflects the cultural aesthetic of southern India through compelling stories and mesmerizing movement technique. Naimpally, found and artistic director of Austin Dance India is a popular performer and educator and recipient of numerous awards worldwide. She will be accompanied by Purna Bajekal, a critically acclaimed dancer, and international Sunadam Music Group whom she has worked with for over a decade.
