Interview with Sculptor Marla Ripperda, November 2018:

Q: Why did you create this piece?
A: I live on Lake Buchanan and often see blue and green herons fishing. I’ve witnessed their catches and subsequent “dining”!

Q: Where else has the piece been since you created it?
A: Round Rock, Marble Falls and Bee Cave Sculpture Park.

Q: What would you like the viewer to take way from the piece?
A: A smile at the whimsical nature of my bird and its title.
