Sarofim gallerySouthwestern University’s Sarofim School of Fine Arts is Georgetown’s educational hub of creativity and inspiration. The University’s rich academic offerings are coupled with
a wide variety of theatre, music, and arts programming. The Sarofim School is a premier destination for arts and culture in
Georgetown with more than 75 events a year, many of which are free.

The Sarofim Art Gallery is a world class gallery space featuring both professional and student art exhibits. Open Tuesday through Sunday from noon until 5 PM during exhibitions and artist talks. Admission to the gallery is always free and open to the public.

This year the Music Department at Southwestern introduces The Sarofim Series of Music, bringing in some of today’s most sought-after musicians. This year’s lineup includes a GRAMMYwinning vocal ensemble, a classical guitarist, a pianist, and more. You will never be disappointed. In addition, the department hosts six major student ensemble concerts every semester including Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Chorale, and Jazz Ensemble.

Southwestern’s Theatre Department brings creativity into the classroom and onto the stage. This season includes a world premiere commissioned work in collaboration between the Theatre and Music departments.

The Southwestern University campus is about 1/2 mile from the downtown Square. Gallery hours are 1 – 5 p.m. daily. Admission is free. Visit the School of Fine Arts calendar for more information. The Alma Thomas Fine Arts Center is number “13” on the campus map.
