“This sculpture is a 3 1/2 foot tall duck. To me, he exudes innocence, joy and optimism. My intention was to create a personality that could bring a smile to the faces of both adults and children.
I have been doing sculptural mosaics for approximately ten years. I’ve served as coordinator for the TSOS/Georgetown Library show for the last 5 years and exhibited in the show for 7 years.
My work has been shown at various galleries in Central Texas, including “Artworks” in Austin, “Copper Shade Tree”, in Round Top and “Artisans – A Texas Gallery” in Fredericksburg.” Linda Wilde
This piece is on loan to the City of Georgetown from the artist with support from the Georgetown Arts & Culture Board, and will be on exhibit through November 2021. To view this piece on the online Sculpture Tour map, please click here.
