“VENTURA” represents our strength as humans; our resilience to forces beyond our control. We react with intensity and somehow always manage to find an aperture- a ray of light. Humberto DeGarrio’s paintings and sculptures express the connection between MIND & BODY, assisted by contrasts demonstrated in his art, as the omnipresent source of inspiration. Therefore, he seeks to understand that our true nature is the union of light and dark.

Materials of choice are metals – mainly steel, aluminum and bronze.

This piece is on loan to the City of Georgetown from the artist with support from the Georgetown Arts & Culture Board, and will be on exhibit through November 2021. To view this piece on the online Sculpture Tour map, please click here.
