About The Artists:

The Art Center’s final exhibit for 2023 will bring to Georgetown the colorful, entertaining collaborative art of Austin-based artists Lisa Zinna and Sylvia Troconis.

Their limited-edition artworks, which they have titled “Familiarity of Place”, combine crisp, punchy colors, minimalist compositions, and iconic subjects in layered, depth-of-field sculptural constructions.  Using their combined expertise in photography, laser-cut wood, 3D assemblage—and a shiny resin coating—Lisa and Sylvia bring familiar local icons, architecture, and scenes to life.

Lisa Zinna is a self-proclaimed photographer, ideator, and collage artist who challenges herself to turn an ordinary photograph into an otherworldly expression of joy.

Sylvia Troconis is a mixed-media visual artist who investigates the interaction between color, materials and a combination of techniques including sculpture, painting, and mark-making.
