Bio:
Pam Jernigan never took art classes and never tried to be an “artist”. Then, in 2014, she experienced a God moment when she asked permission to create a garden quilt. Four months later, Pam began her first piece of art, “Sherry’s Garden”, which she completed in July 2015.
For several years, Pam showed small quilts in quilt shows—and won several awards. She won 2nd place in textile art in a show in Salado, TX. Her work was juried into the “Imagine” exhibit (Round Rock TX), and was awarded 1st place in textile art. Pam’s work also was juried into the “Big” exhibit (Round Rock TX) and won Best of Show. On a national level, Pam’s textiles were juried into “ArtPrize9 (Grand Rapids, MI). While she did not receive a prize in that show, over 6000 people viewed her work.
Pam’s textile works were selected for a solo exhibit at the Georgetown Public Library (Georgetown TX) and juried into several local shows (Taylor TX, Georgetown TX).
Pam Jernigan loves to travel and offer “show and tell” presentations to art groups and quilting groups. Currently, her textile works are on display at Lamppost Coffee (Round Rock TX) as well as at Estrada Garcia Gallery (Georgetown TX). Pam is currently working on a very large piece to enter into the 2022 show in Grand Rapids, MI.
