GPL World Cinema screens films with diverse casts, locations, and stories. This month, in honor of Women’s History Month, the GPL World Cinema pick is the Aretha Franklin biopic, Respect.

Respect | March 9 | 6:30 p.m.: Following the rise of Aretha Franklin’s career — from a child singing in her father’s church choir to her international superstardom — it’s the remarkable true story of the music icon’s journey to find her voice.

GPL World Cinema is the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are required and will be available on the first of the month. Screenings are for adults ages 18+.
