Click here to visit artist Leslie Kell’s virtual version of “Come Closer,” which mirrors her current exhibit in the library! Her work is available for purchase despite the library building being closed at this time.
Note: The current art exhibits are not accessible because the library building is closed to the public starting Friday, Nov. 13. The shift to curbside-only service follows an announcement from the Williamson County and Cities Health District that the County has moved into the red phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, characterized by high spread of the disease in the community. Watch this page for updates about when the library’s art exhibits will again be accessible.
Exhibit Nov. 3-Mar. 18
Cafe Gallery
Leslie Kell creates her surreal artworks using an original technique that synthesizes her artistry in design and photography. She works with natural forms to create environments in which her photos are assembled into the spaces and patterns of her visionary designs.
“Come Closer” features artworks from her recent landscape-based collections that explore vistas from a vantage point that highlights the relationship of our own presence in space with the mysteries of a far-off horizon. These photographic compositions will invite you to draw closer and experience the sensation of our unique memories and experiences layered with possibilities of the unseen. They reveal a place you might not recognize but, somehow, have been waiting to visit.
Leslie has been represented in Georgetown at Artisans Connect Gallery since 2015. She also created custom artwork that was featured on the cover of the Georgetown Arts and Culture Guide two years in a row. You can see her work at LeslieKell.com.
