(POSTPONED) Call to Artists: Request for Proposals for Georgetown Animal Shelter Mural

This project is postponed for a later date. We will post another update as soon as we are ready to restart this project! Thank you for your support of artists and the arts and culture community of Georgetown!

Beginning April 15th, 2020, The City of Georgetown’s Arts and Culture Board will invite artist entries for the Georgetown Animal Shelter Mural Project. The mural design should relate to the purpose of the shelter by addressing the rescue and adoption of pets.

Submission Deadline: May 31st, 2020

ELIGIBILITY: This opportunity is open to all professional artists over the age of 18.

BUDGET: An artist stipend of $4,000 will be paid to the artist selected to install the mural. The City of Georgetown will also fund the cost of materials and equipment necessary to install the mural. The selected artist will be responsible for their own travel costs, housing, and personal liability insurance.

INSTALLATION DATE: Mural will be completed by September 15th, 2020.

SELECTION: From the entries submitted by the deadline, the City of Georgetown Arts and Culture Board will select up to (3) submissions for consideration and final selection by the Georgetown Animal Shelter staff. Artists will be notified of the final selection by mid-July.
